Wednesday October 28, 2020 Smile of the Day: Sounds of Silence

First, a Story:

Did you hear about the two people who stole a calendar?

They each got six months.

Second, a Song:

Here is “Sounds of Silence” by Simon and Garfunkel. What is not generally known is that the first recording of this song by Simon and Garfunkel was an acoustic version on their album Wed Morning, 3AM.  The album was a flop and resulted in S&G splitting up, Paul going back to Britain and Art to college.  The record company had other ideas.  They added electric instruments and released the song as a single and it hit #1 in the States. The rest, as they say, is history.

Hope you enjoy this version:

Thought for the Day:

Have a great day!
