Monday October 26, 2020 Smile of the Day: Nessun Dorma

I was a mathematician before I went into law school. So you see, I can get a bit irrational about math jokes.

First, a Story:

Did you hear about the mathematician who was afraid of negative numbers?

He would stop at nothing to avoid them.

Second, a Song:

OK lest you think I have become a fan of opera, I heard on CBC one day that if it wasn’t for Bugs Bunny, none of us would know any opera at all.  However, the first time I heard Nessun Dorma being sung, it literally stopped me in my tracks.  Who would be able to imagine and then write such beautiful music, I asked myself. I have loved it ever since.  Here is Luciano Pavarotti performing “Nessun Dorma”. I hope you enjoy it.
